A refreshing, cafe-style iced chai tea latte that perfectly balances bold, aromatic black tea spices with the creamy, natural sweetness of maple syrup. By brewing a concentrated tea base, you ensure the flavor remains robust even as the ice melts. This easy-to-make homemade beverage is the perfect cooling pick-me-up for tea lovers, free of any alcohol or artificial additives, and can be customized with your choice of dairy or plant-based milk.

Ingredients

Scale

1 cup water
2 chai tea bags
1 tbsp maple syrup
1/2 cup milk (whole or oat)
1 cup ice cubes
1 pinch ground cinnamon

Instructions

Boil one cup of water in a small saucepan.
Steep two chai tea bags for seven minutes to create a concentrated base.
Remove the tea bags and stir in the maple syrup until fully dissolved.
Refrigerate the mixture for at least thirty minutes until completely cold.
Fill a tall glass with fresh ice cubes to the brim.
Pour the chilled chai tea concentrate over the ice.
Add the milk slowly to create a layered effect.
Sprinkle a pinch of ground cinnamon on top and serve immediately.

Notes

Brew the tea concentrate the night before for better chilling efficiency. For a frothier drink, use a handheld milk frother before pouring over the ice.
